Norwood High Street

Despite its name, Norwood High Street isn't the main shopping area in West Norwood. Norwood High Street runs from the junction with Elder Road, Chapel Road and Gipsy Road up to the junction outside St Luke's Church with Knights Hill and Norwood Road, which is where most of the shops in West Norwood are based. Many of the few shops that are left on Norwood High Street are in decline and are gradually being replaced by conversions to residential use.

Onthe flipside, two highlights of the road however are the pub 'Southern Pride' and it's attached nightclub 'ego's' which is the centre of the Norwood Gay scene and the community theatre the South London Theatre.
