Crystal Palace is an area of South London between Dulwich, Croydon and Brixton, although its name has been associated with many different things. The phrase Crystal Palace was originally coined by Punch magazine to describe The Great Exhibition, an iron and glass building designed by Joseph Paxton which was moved to Crystal Palace Park in 1854 and destroyed by fire on 30th November 1936.
