Chestnut Road

A wide residential street running from West Norwood High Street through towards West Dulwich.

The housing ranges in age from quite early (1830s?) through to early 1990s but the majority was built probably between 1880 and 1920.

At the WNHS end of the road the old H Day & Son Depository has recently been converted into flats and live/work units.

As well as houses the street contains some social provision units including Pat Williams House sheltered accomodation run by SLFHA at 45-47 Chestnut Road and a residential facility for people with learning and physical disabilities at 44 Chestut Road run by Caretech Community Services Ltd
